ES-335 Style Semi Hollow

My dad just finished this guitar in August, 2016.  It is based on the ES-335 but made from solid wood rather than laminates.  The top is  carved quilted maple and the sides and back are curly maple.

The mahogany center block stops just beyond the tailpiece. Controls are wired ala Jimmy Page with push pulls on every pot.

The binding is curly maple. Control knobs are ebony.

The bridge, tuners, and tailpiece are Gotoh Deltas. The pick up rings are homemade from ebony.  The pick ups are Lollar Imperials.

The neck is a mahogany/maple laminate and is set deep into the center block well past the first pick-up cavity.

The neck/body joint is violin style with the back supporting the neck heel from below.
